WCBA: It’s Annual Church Profile time again. Be on the lookout for letters and emails in the next week or so. Ministry Assistant lunch August 14th venue TBD. Great Commission Fund offering emphasis is in July, supporting our mission endeavors. East TN Mission Trip is July 12th-18th. Equipping the Saints Classes: A study of 1 John will begin August 4th here at the Mission Center and will be taught by Dr. Phil Mitchell. Please call, come by or email us to sign up. A book will be recommended.
Central: We will be hosting the Kickstart to Fall Craft Fair September 13th from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. Vendors can sign up at https://cbcmartin.org/craft-fair Pastor: Kylan Mann
Dresden FBC: Our Sew Faithful group will not meet in July. They recently took 91 hygiene kits to Jackson that will be delivered to young girls in Tanzania as their mission project they have been diligently working on for the past several months. Helping hands are always welcome on the first Saturday morning of each month from 9:00 am-12:00 pm as they begin back in August. Our Lively Ones senior adults will be attending Jackson Sings the Gospel on July 10th. Our JOY 55+ will meet Tuesday, July 15th, at 11:30 am for our monthly meal & program. County Mayor Dale Hutcherson will be guest speaker. We have 34 third to sixth grade students going to Kids Crossings July 17-20. This gospel-centered camp is always a fun favorite of the kids. The annual singing is set for Friday, July 25th, at 7:00 pm. Make plans to attend to hear some good ol’ southern gospel music. Pastor: Don McCulley
Gleason FBC: We had a great VBS this week! A one-day trip to serve at Love Packages in Decatur, Alabama will be June 27th. We have six planning to serve in East TN for the Summer Mission Trip. Come worship and serve with us! Pastor: Bill Ellis
Greenfield FBC: Wednesday, July 2nd, we will have an Independence Day celebration supper at 6:00 pm, followed by a patriotic devotion and song service at 7:00 p.m. Our church office will be closed July 4th. A group will head to Jackson July 11th for the Jackson Sings the Gospel concert with a stop for dinner on the way. Our sewing ministry, The Hem of His Garment, continues to meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month, July 12th this month. Also on that day, our Summer Mission Team will be preparing to head to Cleveland, TN, to work with Ocoee Outreach. They will leave July 13th for a week of painting, roofing, refurbishing a church, and hosting VBS. They will give testimonies during our 6:00 pm evening worship service July 20th. Our group of R.A.s will be having a “campout” July 25th-26th. For some, this may be their first camping adventure, even though it will be indoors! Pastor: James Hazlewood
Long Heights: We will be hosting a Night of Worship Sunday, June 29th, at 6:00 pm. Bring your favorite finger foods and come join us! Our mission trip to Trinidad will be July 11th-19th where we will assist with VBS, Awana and preaching! Pastor: Kenny Carr
Oak Grove: The interior of our new building is progressing nicely. We are excited to be so close to moving in! The church held a surprise celebration for Bro Jerry’s 88th birthday! Bro Jerry and Mrs. Ora Lee also celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary June 16th. Our VBS will be held Saturday, June 21st, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Pastor: Bro Jerry Powell (I)
Old Bethel: We will be having revival services each Monday night of July. Speakers will be Bro. Wayne Foropoulos, Bro. Steve Heman, Bro. Roger Ellsworth and Bro. David Powell with services at 6:30 pm each night.
Ralston: We have had a very busy spring and are looking forward to Vacation Bible School June 23rd-26th. This will the first year the puppet program will be available for older students to see. Each night will have a different program focus. On Monday night, all will enjoy “Sundae on Monday” for the treat. The students can build their own sundae. Our focus this year is “Magnify God”. Sharon FBC: We partnered with Sidonia Baptist Church and had a great VBS June 8-11! Forty-five campers total participated and we raised over $630 for West Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief! Thank you to all volunteers who made it happen! We will have a churchwide cookout June 29th. All are welcome to attend. Pastor: Josh Moore
Sidonia: We will have Friend Day Sunday, June 29th @ 11:00 am with a potluck to follow.
Thompson Creek: Bro. Billy Ross celebrated his 20th year as pastor of TCBC on June 1st. We had two new members join our church that same day. We recognized our fathers on Father’s Day and gave each of them a small gift, and we collected money for the TN Baptist Adult Homes Offering. Our Youth Sunday will be June 29th with Bro. Alex Cserni preaching at the AM service. A fellowship meal will follow in the Malone Fellowship Hall. We will observe the Lord’s Supper that evening at 5:30 pm. Pastor: Billy Ross
Tumbling Creek: Luke Hughes preached at our 9:00 am service May 4th. We later recognized Luke for 20 years as youth minister and presented him with a plaque and a gift certificate. Pastor: Gene Price
Victory: May was a busy month at Victory with graduation of our pastor from Liberty University. We are so proud of him. He has studied so hard. We had three additions to our church membership. Mother’s Day was celebrated with gifts for each mother. A trip to the veteran’s home in Humboldt with gifts for the vets, including birdseed and bird houses. Always a good visit with the vets. Wednesday night supper at 6:00 pm and Bible Study at 7:00 pm is being enjoyed by everyone. All are invited to join in the good food & fellowship. Pastor: Michael Rust
