“Easter Sunday” is April 5. This is a Sunday set aside in many churches to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. This is a good day to invite family and friends to church so that they may hear the gospel presented in music and in the preaching/teaching of the Word of God. Of course, the church meets every Sunday to celebrate the resurrection. I hope on April 5, our churches will be filled to capacity.       

 

Our summer mission trip will be July 11-17. This year we will be going back to Cleveland, Tennessee to work with the Ocoee River Ministry. We will be involved in construction projects as well as VBS and/or Backyard Bible Clubs. The cost of the trip is $200.00 per person. I encourage you to pray about going and encourage your youth to participate.

 

The role of women in the local church has always been an important subject and it continues to be, especially in the SBC. A good book on the topic is by Kevin DeYoung titled: “Men and Women in the Church.” I recommend it.
