WCBA:  We are so thankful for everyone picking up their ACP packets and to Hodges Chapel for already submitting theirs! The deadline to submit this information is September 12th so that we can get all of it entered prior to the annual meeting October 18th @ Bethlehem @ 8:30 am.  Breakfast is at 7:30 am.  Please RSVP by  October 10th. For non-trained disaster relief volunteers, you are welcome to go out on a callout as long as you are with someone who is certified and you fill out a DR application with us prior to deployment in case we need a background check. The next certification class is October 25th in Jackson. Details can be found on the next page here and on our Facebook page.

Bethlehem:  Recently, two people have been saved at Bethlehem. We give God all the praise! Our homecoming will be August 24th. Sunday School is at 10:00 am, worship at 11:00, with a noon meal to follow. At 1:30 pm, LIVING TRUTH will be our featured singers. Please come out and enjoy the day with us. We congratulate one of our couples upon having just celebrated fifty years of marriage. Pastor:  Jim Garner

Bible Union: We hosted the Operation Christmas Child Project Workshop August 9th. Jen McNair, MidSouth Regional Manager, led our program. Lauren Goff was introduced as our new Area Coordinator and Gwen Scarborough as Church Relations. Ruth Gray shared with us her mission trip to Ecuador.

Central:  We will be hosting the Kickstart to Fall Craft Fair September 13th from 10:00 am-4:00 pm.  Vendors can sign up at https://cbcmartin.org/craft-fair  Pastor:  Kylan Mann

Dresden FBC:  Our Men’s Ministry Breakfast will be Saturday, September 6th at 8:00 am. All men in the community are invited the first Saturday of each month. The Sew Faithful group will also meet that same day from 9:00 am to noon for sewing and non-sewing mission projects. Helping hands are always welcome. Our senior youth will be attending the Equip Conference at Union September 6th. Our children’s department will have promotion Sunday September 7th by moving up to the next grade in the Sunday School classes. Our Women on Missions will focus the church on the State Missions week of prayer September 7th-14th and the offering goal. Our JOY gathering will be Tuesday, September 16th at 11:30 am with Wayne Foropoulos. All adults 55+ are invited to join the third Tuesday of each month. Pastor:  Don McCulley

Long Heights:  We will be having a Night of Worship Sunday, August 31st @ 6:00 pm.  Bring your favorite finger foods and come join us! Pastor:  Kenny Carr 

Thompson Creek:  Several of our members are attending the WCBA Bible study of 1 John on Monday nights. We celebrated our 194th Homecoming on Sunday,  August 10th. Two people were baptized before the AM service. Bro. John Ott was our guest speaker, and we had a fellowship meal afterwards. Bro. Billy read his letter of resignation at the end of the service. On August 17th, Bro. Billy and Patty’s children and their families surprised them by attending his last Sunday AM service. Several other friends attended too. The church gave Bro. Billy a plaque and a monetary gift. The WOM ladies gave Patty a gift too. Several members gave cards in appreciation of Bro. Billy’s 20 years of service to TCBC. The church had a barbecue meal after the service. 

Victory: We were part of getting students ready for the new year by helping to provide school supplies for 1st grade at Sharon School. We will be having our first Bible Study, Lunch & Fellowship Bike Ride to Lakeview Baptist Church at Reelfoot Lake August 23rd. Meet at noon at Victory. Wednesday night meals and Bible Study are being enjoyed by everyone. Pastor:  Michael Rust
