WCBA: It’s sign up time for our Summer Mission Trip to East TN. Dates are July 12th-18th with a cost of $150. The next Ministry Assistant lunch will be May 8th at noon at Long Heights. These are BYO lunches and we would love to have all church secretaries and clerks join us. Also, we plan to send countywide VBS flyers to schools this year. If you haven’t provided us with your church’s VBS dates & times, please do so prior to Monday, May 5th.
Dresden FBC: Sew Faithful will meet Saturday, May 3rd from 8:00-11:00 am for sewing/non-sewing mission projects. Helping hands are appreciated. We will honor our High School and College graduates on Sunday May 4th during the morning service. Graduates will have display tables set up in the Life Center for viewing, and we will enjoy light breakfast foods with them before and after morning classes. Our Ladies & Men’s ministries will host a Pancake Supper on Wednesday, May 7th, from 5:00-6:45 pm in the Life Center. Tickets are $5 at the door to benefit local charities. The Iris Festival Gospel Night will be May 7th at 7:00 pm in the Worship Center with a concert by The Church Sisters. Tickets are $10 at the door. Our JOY program will gather Tuesday, May 20th, at 11:30 am. Program speakers will be Lindsey Gordon and Penny Gallimore from Security Bank & Trust. All senior adults are welcome! Pastor: Don McCulley
Eastside: We had one saved March 30th followed by baptism Easter Sunday! We will have an outdoor Praise & Worship Concert Saturday, May 3rd, at 4:00 pm with hamburgers and hotdogs. Our revival will be May 18th-21st, Sunday at 11:00 am, Sunday-Wednesday night at 6:30 pm. Pastor: Lebern Allen
Gleason FBC: Easter was a very special time for us. We now focus on our next LG Day (Loving God by Loving Gleason) on Saturday, April 26th, where we spread love in our community. We are planning a churchwide trip to Columbus-Belmont Park in May, with VBS and a time of serving at Love Packages in Decatur, AL coming up in June. Come worship and serve with us! Pastor: Bill Ellis
Ralston: We had a large crowd for our Ladies of Grace Women’s Conference. A group from Greenfield FBC came and blessed us with special music for our 5th Sunday night service. We observed the Lord’s Supper on Thursday night before Easter. Ralston is growing! We have added 21 new members this church year. What a blessing! Pastor: Kenneth Springer
Sharon FBC: We had a great Easter service this past week. Thanks to Bro. Tony Harrison and choir for blessing all in attendance with their cantata presentation, “Then Came the Morning.” We will host the UTM BCM Impact Team April 27th for the morning service, and our Graduate Recognition Service will be Sunday, May 4th. We will celebrate mothers on Mother’s Day, May 11th. Join us for VBS – Magnified, June 8th-11th, 6:00-8:00 pm! We are partnering with Sidonia Baptist Church for a community VBS camp this year! Thompson Creek: Allison Bowers was a special guest speaker at our evening service, Sunday, April 6th. She spoke about how God has used Psalms to speak to her through the grief of her husband’s passing. On Palm Sunday, April 13th, God’s Kids did a musical program, The Crucifixion of Jesus, led by Linda Davis. On Good Friday, our pastor spoke at FBC Gleason for the noon service. Our Easter Sunrise service was at 6:30 am, followed by breakfast and Sunday school. Pastor: Billy Ross
